Why Riverside Discovery Center?

Where else in western Nebraska can you come face to face with a lion, meet a chimpanzee and embrace the wonders of the animal kingdom!

“In the end we will conserve only what we love. We will love only what we understand. We will understand only what we are taught”

– Baba Dioum

Earth DayThe goal of our education department is to develop age appropriate programs that will help connect the audience to nature and wildlife through hands-on and interactive activities.

Environmental education is a way to understand and open a person’s eyes to the great world we live in, give people a sense of the impact humans can have on the environment, and, most importantly, inspire a love for nature and wildlife.
