Food Donations

Donating Food items

Is your garden overproducing and you have no idea what to do with your extras? RDC will gratefully accept donations of most fresh produce! We cannot accept rhubarb, as it is toxic to many of our animals.

We use prepackaged food for a number of our animals, and we go through a LOT! Some items we are always grateful to receive are:

•Canned tuna •Peanut Butter •Canned or dried veggies & fruits •100% Juice (no additives) •Low sugar cereals •Raw nuts and/or seeds (shelled or not) •Crackers •Applesauce

Donating Meat

Apologies, but we can no longer accept meat donations of any kind. We appreciate your understanding!

Guidelines for All Donations

For health and safety reasons, we are unable to accept donations of expired food or opened packages. If you have any questions about a potential donation, please give us a call at 308-630-6236.
