In the summer, we close at 4:30pm and in the winter we close at 4pm.There are many rare and exciting species to see at Riverside Discovery Center. We are currently part of several Species Survival Plans which aims to better the genetic variability within certain Endangered & threatened species in captivity. RDC will gratefully accept donations of most fresh produce! We cannot accept rhubarb, as it is toxic to many of our animals. We use prepackaged food for a number of our animals, and we go through a LOT! Stay tuned - Something exciting is coming! ## Grizzly Bear Smokey came to us in the fall of 2017 after the loss of his mother to poaching. RDC opened his new habitat, located in the heart of the zoo, in the fall of 2020! ## Primates RDC is home to several primates, including red-ruffed lemurs, spider monkeys, and squirrel monkeys! ## Carnivores We are proud to house two Spotted Hyena, named Charlie and Baby, a tiger named Rajah, who is quite the character, and two mountain lions, Jasper and Jade. ## Hoofstock Check out our zebras, highland cattle, and miniature donkeys! ## Macaws In warm weather, our blue and gold macaws, Otis and Cruz, can be found in our Garden Walk.
