Zoo Keeping Internship
Explore your passion for animal care through our hands-on Zoo Keeping Internship. Open to college students and adults 18+, this program offers the chance to work directly with zookeepers caring for hoofstock, carnivores, primates, birds, and reptiles. Interns participate in animal care, enrichment, record keeping, and public education while gaining experience in veterinary rounds and training sessions. Internships through schools are welcome.
Docent Program
Our Docent Program invites volunteers 25+ to serve as conservation educators through tours, events, and interactive learning experiences. Docents share knowledge about wildlife and the natural world, assist with animal ambassador visits, staff educational booths, and support zoo programs as needed. Ideal for those passionate about animals and conservation, this flexible role is a great fit for educators, retirees, and lifelong learners.
